As a relative newbie, I have been practising by recording a classical piano
piece, using MIDI, and editing it in Cubasis VST 4.0. All went well except that
some of the notes in the original manuscript are marked to be played ‘Staccato’.
I can’t find any reference to staccato in the help files, so is it possible to
reflect this kind of expression in Cubasis - without playing a very short note
and making up the full value of the note with a rest, which seems to be cheating!
