Hi,
The cue labels I’ve input place itself at the top not at the position (instrument) I placed it - why?
I follow the youtube tutorial:
at 10:31 the placement of cue labels are introduced.

Score Reduction in Dorico | Tutorial with Ernesto Aguirre.dorico (1.3 MB)
You’ve probably entered them as System-attached text (Shift+Alt+X) instead of staff attached text (Shift+X).
What he’s showing there isn’t really cues – it’s labeling who’s playing in a given (reduced) section.
In the video, he enters these labels as staff text, Shift+X. It looks like you’ve entered your labels as system text, Shift+Alt/Opt+X. Staff text will stay on the staff where you put it, but system text is positioned on staves according to your settings in Layout Options > Staves and Systems > System-attached items.
@charles_piano beat me to it!
Do you actually want these as cues, @bo.lundby.jaeger?
Thanks,
yes to you both.
I made the key command in the preferences at the wrong level!
I don’t think so – the video is showing something different.
