Cues have stopped working

Suddenly I can’t create cues from my dedicated cue line. The top line in the screen shot is named Q, and as you can see I have in the past successfully created rhythmic cues for the bottom line in measures 43 and 47. Today I noticed that I had neglected to create the corresponding cue in m. 45 and couldn’t do it. When I typed Q into the popup no instrument appeared for me to choose. I can create cues from the other lines in the piece (there are 6 in total) but not from the Q line. I’m attaching a copy of this flow for people to look at.
Things I’ve tried: Renaming the top line; no help. Copy/pasting the cue from m. 47 into m. 45. This works. Restarting Dorico. No help. This flow is extracted from a larger file with a total of 14 flows and the problem is occurring in every flow I try.

What did work was this: I created a brand new cue line, named it Q1, and Pasted all the existing cues from line Q into the new Q1. Dorico’s Cue machine can see that line just fine; apparently something happened behind the scenes to Line Q. My immediate problem is thus solved, but I’d like to understand what happened.

You can also select an existing cue (eg from bar 43) and alt-click it to bar 45.

Yes, that’s what I meant by copy/pasting; but it’s a kludge. I’d like to understand what went wrong in the first place.

I don’t see it as a kludge. For me it’s the fastest way to add cues and I use it all the time!

The Instrument Name has been edited and has a newline character inserted. Therefore the first character is no longer a Q.

Thanks! I knew it must be something obvious.
