The following all takes place in the full score…
I have a concert band piece that I am re-typesetting. The Eb clarinet has Flute 2 cues at letter B (with instructions to play if no flute 2 is present) as you see in this screenshot of Write Mode:
But in Engrave Mode the cues vanish!
So I went to the Print tab to check there and there are no cues present which means they won’t be printed out as I see it in Write mode? Anyone know what’s going on here?
By default, cues are turned off in full score. You can change this in Library > layout options. I’m a bit surprised you can see them in galley view - I thought (obviously wrongly) that they were not visible there.
Cues are always visible in galley view as it is where it’s proper practice to enter and edit them since you … well… see them! They then disappear in page view. You can’t hide them in galley view. As a rule (and I realize you know), one should really do the bulk of write mode work in galley view.

Since these are “playing” cues (in the absence of another instrument) rather than “orienting” cues, you probably should in fact show them in the score!
