Cursor does not change context - longtime bug

For years now, on occasion, the cursor in Cubase has randomly stopped changing context (event resize, or track resize, or anything you hover over where it changes from the pointer to whatever tool it’s supposed to be). This is with many versions of Cubase (I’m now on the latest 13), and over many different operating systems, as well as three different computers. It is really an annoying one, and seems to be happening more frequently for me for some reason. Here’s a video that shows the behavior I’m talking about. I simply can’t be the only one that has seen this. Please speak up and let’s get this one fixed if we can?

It’s working normal for me on a PC.

I’m on a Mac. And it’s intermittent.

@Martin.Jirsak have you noticed this on Macs?

Same here. But I think it’s happening only on my 2nd monitor.

Hi,

Yes, I have noticed this. And I have also notinced, this is not Cubase only. This happens with other applications too time to time.

Hmm - it is not immediately apparent how I’d do that - maybe I can’t do it on a phone. I’ll try later today.

Hi,

As I mentioned, I can see this issue also in other aplications (even native applications like Safari) on Mac. Therefore I’m afraid, it’s not Cubase issue.

I also encountered this exception, but in addition to Cubase, I also encountered this problem in other applications.

So I think it is a problem with macOS, and I found a solution to the problem on the Internet, maybe it will be useful to you:
