Custom colours for pitch grid in editors

I can’t remember in which version this changed, but in the piano roll and variaudio editor the shading of the pitch grid got flipped so that naturals (white notes) were darker than accidentals (black notes).

Whilst I’m sure there were some harpsichord specialists who were thrilled by this change, I imagine I can’t be the only one who struggles to understand why this happened and is also frustrated by there being no proper way to change it. If one prefers working on dark backgrounds then the differences between note shadings are practically impossible to see.

The only workaround is to set the editor background to a much lighter colour, thereby obliterating one’s eyesight.

Please can we be allowed more control over how these elements are shaded?

Along the “color” topic, I cannot understand why the controller 64 (sustain) data got changed to only one color sometime back. It used to be one color for “on” (127) and another color for “off” (0). That made it very easy to edit sustain pedal data, especially when two “ons” were next to each other for whatever reason, and the chord kept sustaining. This is such an obvious much needed feature to me. I can’t understand why more people don’t complain.

Hopefully somebody can answer both of our color related questions,
