I have multiple libraries I’ve created that are licensed via Steinberg. When I’ve printed updates to the libraries, everything goes smoothly. I register the new VSTSound in the Steinberg Library Manager and open HALion 7 but all the presets show they aren’t authorized.
If I check the Steinberg Activation Manager, it shows the library is “Activated”.
I’m hoping some one else has experienced this and can share their solution.
I’m using the most recent HALion 7 and Steinberg Activation Manager.

Hi @rmjmusic1 !
Do I understand correctly, that a VSTSound you created with the library creator does show the unauthorized sign?
And just for good measure, did you try anything to solve it (don’t want to give steps, if they where already done)?
Hi Philippe,
Thanks for your response.
Yes, after registering the newly printed VSTSound, the presets show in the HALion browser as unauthorized even though the library is activated in the Steinberg Activation Manager
I tried deactivating and reactivating the library. I also quite unregistered the library, closed all Steinberg software, relaunched HALion and quit after it initialized, then re-registered the product and relaunched HALion.
Hey Philippe,
Just curious, do you have any suggestions?
Thanks!

Hi @rmjmusic1 , forgot you for a while, sorry about that.
The “No entry” sign can also mean that there is a general file access issue. Are you sure that you have all the correct permissions on the files and folder?
So oddly, it seems to have fixed itself. Not sure what to think or say. But now I’m no longer having that issue after another reprint.
If it crops up again, I’ll see if I can provide any other info. I appreciate your attention to this and suggestions! Thanks!
