Hi,
When selecting text and attempting to set its scale to 0% (to hide it), the text does not receive the appropriate percentage size. A video demonstrating this issue is provided below:
I don’t think it’s ever been possible to set an item’s scale to 0%? As far as I know, 1% is as low as you can go.
Indeed, you can’t scale an item to 0%. It’s never been possible.
Sure, please try to reproduce that on your D6 and see what I mean. try to lower the percentage from 5% then down to 1%.
Seems to work fine here. 5%, 4, 3, 2, 1… and 0 is not possible (as before).
On my MBPro M3, when I lower the custom scale to 2% or 1%, the text seems to get a bit bigger. Have you seen that in my video above? Please take a closer look again.
Again, here’s another video showing the same anomaly:
It’s curious that on your macOS you don’t have the same bug.
Perhaps this is project-specific. Would you mind attaching a very small project where this happens?
I’ve even tried opening my old projects to see if the issue persists, and it does. I’ve attached a Dorico file that shows the bug.
I have the same issue in ver. 6, but not in 5.
One workaround is to change the color of the expression to white.

Thanks for having tried!
I haven’t updated to version 6 yet, but since I often use the custom scale to minimum to hide function, have others tried it?
I’d be more interested in verifying the highlighted issue than discussing the number 1 when writing 0.
And the result when we open old score Dorico 5 in Dorico 6 with cstom scale to “1”
And for now, the score is 2:1.
Best regards
Thanks for confirming the bug @billstevns.
It appears that this change in behaviour is due to changes in the underlying Qt framework that Dorico relies upon. We’ll look into this and find a solution in due course.
Great.
