Hello all.
This 1 min clip will visualize my words bellow:
[Dorico cutaway issues]
So I was trying to hide last bars in the piece in order to stay with the Fin. no bars afterwards.
Something peculiar is happening.
Although Manual Cutaway was able to hide bars 383-4, it didn’t remove bar 385.
I have then used “Create Start Cutaway” but it removed only piano 1 last bar, piano 2 last bar remained unhide for whatever reason.
I have then tried to remove that last bar altogether ( shift b -1 ) which seems to be doing the trick..
I have saved the work as usual only to find out to my astonishment that the change (deletion of that last bar # 385) wasn’t actually registered or saved and when the project reopened - that last bar in piano 2 wasn’t remove after all…
I have made few changes in layout options as instructed but these didn’t seem to relate.
layout option:
staves and systems => “allow each staff of grand staff instruments to be cutaway independently”
Vertical Spacing=> “Allow individual staves of multi-staff instruments to be hidden”
p.s.
I have found the solution - Allowing Signposts to be shown , in engrave mode - I have changed Piano 2 cutaway from “end” to “start” - applies to all staves selected.
