Hi, after 6 years of working with Cubase 5, I have started working the last few days with Cubase 8.5. Looks nice, but I have found one big problem. I don’t know if it’s a bug, or a mistake on my behalf.
While doing songwriting in Cubase, I often record in cycle mode. In Cubase 5, the last fully-played passage was kept automatically. In Cubase 8.5 this doesn’t seem to work, as soon as I start recording with punch in or out of the loop.
If the recording starts before the loop normally starts it works fine. Because this problem is difficult to describe, I have recorded a video.
1st Part:
You can see what’s going wrong. There is only a snippet of the first take, which is labelled as “Take 2”.
2nd Part:
When the recording starts before the loop, everything works as expected.

Am I doing something wrong or is it a bug?
