Dashed barline and rests in subdivided measures

I love the new (well, relatively new) feature to put in dashed barlines in long-value measures to clearly show measure subdivisions.

however, is there a way to adjust the placement of whole note rests within those?

In the image I’m attaching, you can see whole note rests in the silent first 4/4 part of the 7/4 measure, then notes inn the second half.
But those whole note rests are stuck up against the initial barline, and would really look better centered within the “4/4” subdivision.

If this isn’t available right now as an option, might it be something the team could look into for some future update?

A rest is centered only when it’s a full bar. The dashed barline directly shows that this is not a full bar. Sibelius and Dorico both distinguish a bar rest from a whole (semibreve) rest.

Hi Michel, forgive my ignorance, but how did you get 7/4 together with the dashed bars in the popover? I usually have to specify aggregate times that results in 4/4+3/4…

The manuals are a bit cryptic (or maybe difficult to reach) about this…

EDT: Only with property?

Some popover syntax is slightly cumbersome…

yes, with the “combine compatible” option.
