i have a question:
How can I deactivate any interaction during recording a track?
Yesterday I played a MIDI (VST) instrument and “played” with e.g. the speed (clock of the metronome). The morphing of the metronome was recorded while I was recording. Is it possible to deactivate this “recording of morphing” some parameters as long as I record?
Hi Johannes,
I´m not sure - what exactly do you mean by the speed/clock of the metronome? Are you referring to the tempo track? Or something else that has do to with tempo on your VST instrument?
Anyways, if it´s the tempo track - you can easily fix it by simply deleting the knots that indicate a change of tempo.
If you mean parameters on a VST-Instrument that should not be recorded while recording something else: F6 under the column “Suspend Write”. You can pick the parameter(s) which you want to disable temporarily from being modified.
Its hard to explain my “problem”.
I changed DURING the record of a vst track some parameters in Cubase like the clock speed. After finishing the record of the vst track I saw that the parameters were in “realtime” recorded and then played.
I do not want to get the change, because I only experimented with e.g clock and so on. This should be a static parameter and not a real-time parameter which is recorded by changing the value.
But I will try it with the “Suspend write”, maybe I can choose or deactivate any recordable parameters.
Sorry i dont know what i recorded. I started the record by clicking the round record symbol in the “transport window”… i recorded the track AND obvousily the parameter changes.
Where can I record only the track and “nothing more”? sorry, i’m a cubase noob.
Hi Johannes!
In order to help you with your issue, it’s important that we fully understand what happened. Therefore, we need to use the same terminology.
By “vst track” do you mean an Instrument Track?
Here’s an example of an Instrument Track:
By “clock speed”, are you referring to the Tempo?
Here’s where you can adjust the Tempo in Cubase:
