Delaying cue clef until immediate bar

I’ve got a percussion part with non-pitched percussion but have had to employ the xylophone “trick” in order to show cues to the player from a pitched instrument. When I create a cue in this part from the pitched instrument, how can I prevent the effect whereby Dorico is changing the clef before a series of multi-measure rests?

It should work by choosing this Layout Option (but it’s a global per-layout option, which maybe you won’t like elsewhere?)
