Denominator in the meter of a dotted eighth: Possible?

Hi, I’m interested in writing a meter of 4 dotted eighths with the denominator written as a dotted eighth note. Forgive me if this is explained somewhere but I couldn’t find out how to do it. Is it possible?

Use 12/8 then click this Property setting:

I think @FredGUnn meant shift-M 12/16 to get the dotted 8th denominator.

Oops, yep you’re right. Reading comprehension fail as I’ve had to do dotted quarters before, and just went on autopilot.

Also if you want all your meters this way, there’s an engraving option, so you don’t need to override it in Properties.

Thank you so much! I knew about the denominator style property but didn’t think to try it with 12/16, etc. Works perfectly.
