Design flaw with the MIDI editor that is really driving me crazy.

Hi,

If a MIDI part has a long name (which is the case if it’s for example a pre-named drum loop from a library) the MIDI editor shows the name fully in the top ribbon. The problem is that the part name now covers the area (ribbon) where you normally could click to place the playhead to continue playback from a specific bar. The problem is depicted in the attached screenshot. Judging from the screenshot the name takes up only about half of that critical area in a vertical direction, but that is actually not the case. There’s only about a one pixel “ribbon” above the part name where you can click to place the playhead. Very, very annoying!

Clicking the “Show part borders” button is a workaround, as that makes the part name disappear, but usually I want to be able to see the part borders. Is there a way to get rid of the name or to place it below that critical ribbon area?
I recently upgraded from Cubase 7 to Cubase 10, so I don’t know if this has been an issue already with 8 or 9.

Hi,

I agree with you.
