Differences between Score and Parts (Tempo and Metronome Markings)

Can anyone point to an article in Dorico help that will tell me how to stipulate different items between the score and parts. ie. on the score I want the Tempo Marking with a metronome marking, but on the part my publisher wants the Tempo Marking but no metronome marking. When I open the part and delete the M.M. it also disappears from the score. I just don’t know what to type in under Dorico Help to find this information.

Thanks so much.

In general Dorico terms, a Tempo indication is a specific type of system-attached object.

As far as I know, the setting to show/hide the metronome marking in the tempo string is not independently set for different layouts (e.g., score and part(s)). But someone else might have a different answer.

The best approach I can think of would be to enter the tempo term as a shift - T tempo object (too it will be seen in all layouts), then go back to the score and add the metronome mark as staff-attached text (shift -X) that can then be hidden locally in the parts.

P.S. — I used the MusGlyphs font to create the metronome mark.

Thank you for †he response. I feel like there must be a way to differentiate items to be shown in the score but not in the parts without having to create separate entities. Your workaround sounds like it will work and I will go that route if no other solutions fit the bill exactly.
Thanks again.
