Different looks of Cubase 13?

Does everything look good with 200% scaling? I haven’t experienced more than FHD resolution with Cubase yet. I actually still don’t know how non native resolution and/or scaling work in WIndows

On windows 200% scaling is not a problem for Cubase since version 10. By the version 12 Cubase has had nearly a full HiDPI support for 200% scaling, but it still lacked for some bitmaps for other scaling factors such as 225%(it can scale to such size, just with some buttons being pixelated). I have not tested cubase 13 in other cases aside from 100% / 200% scaling yet.

Thanks for the info!

Creating, saving and sharing themes for Cubase would a welcome features. Just Image-Line did for FL Studio 21.

Simply terrible. What set Cubase apart from other DAWs in Terms of looks was its sleek and elegant design. Now it looks like a 39 Dollar Daw i.E. Reaper a.s.o… It is no fun to work with any more. So we just fall back to Cubase 12.0.70 which was finally looking and working great-

B.t.w… an important detail has changed: Out of a group of many soloed tracks you could select one track to be only soloed with Ctrl+Leftclick. This does not work any more like before…

All in all the cange to Cubase 13 is not necessary at all. I think it just had to be released for christmas like every year to make money for the christmas bonus for the steinberg employees…
In my opinion, the developers should not rely so much on the opinion of a certain Greek on YouTube who makes his money by advertising Steinberg, but rather on the entire user base and focus on customer wishes. This guy is not representative at all.

Pointing out a mans nationality imo is uncalled for, Just a mention of his name in your statement would have been good enough, im sure he wouldn’t have been offended by that. Just saying!

I use “Ctrl+click SOLO” all the time!!!
If they knowingly removed it that would be a big mistake :frowning:

I totally agree with you - I couldn’t get used to ANY other DAW because the GUI was usually a mess. I never liked ProTools, Sonar, Vegas… Not even StudioOne which started as very similar to Cubase (no wonder) but with much worse GUI.
What a shame.

I bought C13 anyway but I’m not as happy as I thought I would be.
