We do a lot of ADR and other sessions with remote agencies/studios/directors. Most are monitored via ZOOM these days. Video playback is way out of sync to the clients. The people in Hollywood have suggested NDI Tools for synced playback but that doesn’t seem to work with the Nuendo/Cubase video window. At least not on the Mac. Does anyone have any suggestions. Thanks.
Have you tried VST Connect PRO.
No. I will look into that now.
Does it work with Zoom?
Not really but depends on your use case. It can be a great way to have a client tune in if you have talent in the studio and need reliable video/audio sync for them. However it is limited to one user on the client end to tune in I believe (a few of us have asked that they try to expand that to multiple users).
However if you need to ADR someone remotely and need proper Video/audio sync then its a great tool for that and is a extra tool built directly into Nuendo/Cubase. I use it to record talent often remotely and works well.
Zoom can always be used in tangem but not sure it will solve a situation in which you are just sharing your screen.
VST Connect Pro is awesome.
Use it all of the time.
Reciever end doesn’t have to pay for it, their application is free.
But do take the time to read the manual and test beforehand.

We use Session Link Pro at our Studio daily.
You can choose between conference (clients) recording (actor + video) or dubbing (mainly a mix of both for ADR sessions).
It’s stable and you can rely on it. The only thing I don’t like is that is still chrome based when it should alredy become an app…
How stable is it nowadays? I remember trying to work with it during the pandemic and it became frustrating when it came to establishing and then holding a connection. And then it would be very glitchy at times even when connected, like losing access to the client’s settings all of a sudden. If you lost the connection, you had to get in contact with the client again rather than being able to restore the same session. I really wanted it to be useful but I had to give up unfortunately. I feel like it can be an amazing tool but I just could not get it to consistently work.
All I can say is that I use it pretty much every day, without major problems.
Of course, if the internet connection is not stable (on both sides), you will run into trouble. If one of both is connected to the neighbours Wifi, then of course things will become sketchy.

That’s great to hear! When I was testing I definitely made sure both sides were connected via Ethernet and it was still a battle, will have to give it another shot! Would love to see more advancements in this tool in the future to compete with other software.
I have great sucess with it as well as long as both sides have good net.
