Hey
I have cubase pro 10 with USB licenser
I bought update from version pro 10 to pro 12 and i get the following error when I try to apply the activation code on the elicenser control center
“No license to upgrade found. Please contact a USB-eLicenser which contains an appropriate license to upgrade to your computer.”
The USB-eLicenser is well connected to the computer and the Cubase pro 10 is working fine
My computer is a Mac pro 2013 with macOs 12.6 operation system
What exactly is the current license shown in the eLCC? A screenshot of the eLCC would help (blur out any “personal” info such as USB-eLicenser numbers.
I think these days you are provided with a DAC (Download Access Code) which you are supposed to enter in the Steinberg Download Assistant.

What are the steps you have taken, precisely?
Hey
thanks for your response
I tried also through the Steinberg Download Assistant but it’s automatically open the eLCC
I add photo of the eLCC
You left out the only bit of information that is needed, the license you have on the USB elicenser. Meaning a screenshot of your Elicenser window, (note: blur out the serial numbers on the left side)
As steve mentioned, you don’t show the license which you currently have.
This type of error normally occurs when you are trying to use an incompatible license update. So, without knowing the exact Cubase license you have and the exact update you purchased it is difficult to provide any more assistance.
Okay, that looks good to me. Now, what do you see when you open the Steinberg Activation Manager?
As of version 12 Cubase is using the new Steinberg Licensing system (dongle-free). You can still use Cubase 11 and earlier, if desired, by plugging in your USB-eLicenser.
