I have a .wav file that I exported from Wavelab that I would like to decode using the Telefunken C4 compander standard. Since I don’t have a hardware compander to complete this process, I’ve only been able to find one standalone software decoder at this website: C4 Audio Decoder Help
Any time I try to load this .wav file into the C4 decoder software I’ve found, the C4 software throws an error that says something to the effect of “missing data chunk.” I’ve never encountered any problems with metadata or headers or anything like that on any of my .wav files before, so I wondered if anyone would have any insight on where the problem might be. I have heard of some older softwares that look for RIFF headers (the metadata stored in the .wav file) at the end as opposed to the beginning of the file, so would there be a way to use WL to make an edit like that to the file I want to decode? Any ideas are welcome, even if someone has experience using a different C4 decoder or something like that.
Thanks in advance,
