As I see it, DM is only available from within Cubase - is there a way to enable DM in Steinberg VST Live as well, would be very useful during live performances…

If you’re hearing latency then your buffer size is too high. VL is designed for live use.
DM only makes sense for audio tracks. There, you can simply disable track monitoring.
