I have two baritone guitar tracks panned hard left and right. I wanted to duck them gently after the synth lead comes in. I used direct routing to feed the side chain on a compressor on each guitar track. Worked like a charm.
As you all know this could have been accomplished many ways. However, it gave me a reason to try direct routing. I liked it quite a bit. It made the job clean and easy.
Direct routing is one of those features I’d thought I’d never use. If you’re like me… give it a try. You might like it.
Btw: cb8 has been pretty stable for me. I initially had an MCU issue but it has not recurred. Looking forward to the UI glitches everyone has seen to be fixed.
