Dis-connecting articlations from Playing Techinques

Why do the hat accents in the attached example force the Playing Technique back to Natural? I’d like articulations like that to only affect velocity and note length, not playing techniques.

I am using an Expression Map with no entry for “Accent” or “Marcato” so I’m not sure why it is changing from Pizzicato to Natural.

PS - On a completely different issue, there is a strange situation where the music on the score shows starting in bar 53, but the same music shows in the Key Editor starting bar 55. I’m on Version 4.0.31.1060.

It’s hard to say without seeing the project. (It doesn’t happen for me using the basic Dorico template)

Thanks, Janus. I since discovered that it was caused by an Exclusion Group that I had created while experimenting. Solved.
