Display language problems (showing info in 2 different languages)

I noticed that Cubase 13 has been mixing two different languages (Portuguese and English) on the icons, even though I have chosen English as the display language for the software. (Please check the pictures below.)

I am on Windows 11 v 23H2 (Windows Home Single Language (Brazilian Portuguese)).

I have never had this problem with Cubase before (started with Cubase 10, then upgraded to 10.5, 11, 12 and now 13).

Please, Steinberg, fix it, as it’s annoying.

Hi,

I believe, this term comes from Control Room. You can name the buses freely. It seems, it had been named the Portuguese way for some reason.

Martin, I have never renamed it. This is how my Control Room settings looks like:

I didn’t have this problem with Cubase 10, 10.5, 11 and 12. There are other items that are shown in Portuguese and English. When I find them, I will share a screenshot here.

Hi,

How does it look like in the Outputs, please?

Could you try in the Cubase Safe Start Mode [Disable preferences], please?

Or even to rename/remove Cubase preferences folder to get the factory settings? Cubase Preferences folders are:
Mac: ~/Library/Preferences/Cubase X
Win: %appData% \Steinberg\Cubase X_64

Where the X is the Cubase version (for example 13).

Here is the Outputs tab.

Started Cubase using this mode (Disable program preferences).

Same thing shows up.

Hi,

OK, the next step is to try to rename/remove the preferences folder, to get the factory settings (in your case, to migrate Cubase 12 settings to Cubase 13).

I have the exact same problem.

My Cubase 13 is running in a Mac Silicon system. It is mixing English and Spanish. My local language is Spanish, but I choose English for Cubase, and some menus appear in English and others in Spanish, it´s crazy…

Which ones are in Spanish? Can you make a list?

Yes, the main “Help” menu has its title in Spanish saying “Ayuda”.

Then the three last options in the “Edit” menu are also in Spanish, saying “Autorelleno”, “Iniciar dictado” and “Emojis y símbolos”.

That´s all I see.

Regards.

Hi,

I believe, these are system items and they are not available on Windows. As they are system, they follow the system language.

The same night be true for the Help menu.

Ok, I understand…

I just found the other thing that is shown in Portuguese.

In Cubase 10, 10.5, 11 and 12 this information was shown in English.
