Display of an effect that was moved in mixwindow

Well, we can argue whether it’s “a bug” but I believe it is: In MixWindow, suppose I have an insert effect in track1 and its GUI is displayed at a specific location on screen. Now I move it to another track (e.g., to track2, by drag-and-drop it in the MixWindow screen). First, the effect window disappears (this is not necessarily a bug). When I instruct to display its UI, it, in many cases, displayed in a completely different location. I have 3 screens and sometimes it even simply jumps to another screen. I would have expected it to be displayed in the same position. In fact, it would have been nice if the act of moving wouldn’t turn its window off if it’s on - but the fact it is displayed somewhere else is truly annoying.

Thanks! Erez

Yeah, it’s really annoying. I’m using ‘only’ two screens, and searching where the plugin disappeared is quite common here. Especially when it’s on the edge of another screen, which also happens.

Maybe assigning a key command to open close insert no. x on the currently selected channel might be helpful. Of course, this is not a fix, just a possible workaround.
I have assigned a number of key commands to quickly open/close inserts on selected or all tracks. More often than not, this is way faster than looking for specific plugins that might be buried under other plugins. For me, of course.
