Divide on multichannel midi track to individual tracks

I have a midifile, when I open it in CP8, it opens in one midi track. It contains different instruments and it opens Halion Sonic SE. It plays various instruments on the different midichannels. So midichannel-wise it knows they are separate.

Is there a way I can split that one track up in different midi tracks according to the midi channel , and assign other instruments to that midi track in Cubase? If so, how do I do this. I hope it makes sense.

Use “Dissolve Part” under the Midi Menu.

You will be prompted for options.

Thanks had tried that, but not with the right options. It worked on 2nd try.
