But I have another question: Is there a possibility to connect my DMX-Track to a program that simulates the lightshow. For example magic 3d easy view or something like this. In the visualizer in VST Live I can not see the rotation of my moving heads for example.

Set your VSTL DMX track output to “ArtNet out” (pick a universe) then at your visualiser application (e.g. wysiwyg) receive VSTL’s ArtNet data.

another question:
I connected two moving heads with VST Live.
When I use the DMX-Mixer, it works. When I click some MIDI-Notes with my mouse, the position of the second Moving head isn’t right.
I use the same settings in the MIDI-file for both moving heads. Each one has 8 channels. So when I use for channel one and channel 9 the same settings, they have different positions.
Does anybody know, what could be wrong?

to get a better overview about your workflow, could you please create a “example project” and give it to us? When the project is ready, please use the “Menu / File / Save Archive …” to create an archive. Zip the destination folder and drag the package here.

Hi @jonas_s just for confirm: you mentioned “MIDI” for the second time while talking about DMX. Do you mean MIDI and (not DMX) then, right?
Im having a similar issue. Im trying to control a Stagg Headbanger via ENTTEC DMX USB PRO. It works fine playing about on EMU, but for the LIFE of me I cannot get VST live to make it do anything. It recognised the USB pro as an output, but creating DMX tracks on the correct channels, nothing. Moving the faders, nothing. I just cant get it to respond. Read the manual a few times but none the wiser. I feel like I’m missing something obvious… can anyone help?

… here we go. We are trying to release every Friday a Pre-Release with bug-fixes, feature-requests and improvements. You can read more here.
Download the latest version (1.4.58) and install it. Then
- New Project
- Select TRACKS
- Add DMX Track
- Select “DMX Mixer In” for Input
- Select “DMX USB PRO Out” for Output
- Enable Monitor Control (orange)
- Click to the Editor button (|->) to open “DMX Mixer In”

Is there any chance I can request the ability to change the labels on the DMX controller? Right now its just numbers but Id really like to be able to change to the name function as mapped for my lighting rig (i.e. pan/tilt/strobe/r/g/b rather than just 1 2 3 4).
