Do I have the right version of Cubase Elements 7?

I have a Macbook Pro with a 2.3Ghz Core i5 processor running OSX 10.8.5. A 64bit CPU and OS.

I bought CE7 a few months ago. It says it’s v7.0.6 Build 2231 (32bit).

Is there a 64bit version of CE7 for the Mac?

Thanks!

IIRC, you right-click on the Cubase icon and choose 64bit.

nwp, you mean during the install?

No, when opening Cubase.

Do not see any 64bit option when rightclicking…

Hello,

there are no separate 32 and 64 versions on Mac.
You need to right-click on the Cubase Elements 7 icon, select “Get Info” and un-tick “Run in 32 bit mode”.

Kind regards,

Fabio beat me to it.

Thank YOU, Fabio. And NWP. Sure seems snappier now that I’m in 64bit mode.

This is in search of an answer to why my third party VST plugins do not appear after installing. Started a support ticket on this topic but wouldn’t mind if someone here knows the answer…

Thanks again, guys.

Plugin Info-VST2.x Paths, point to the location of the plugs and re-start Cubase.
