I would like to use Halion 5 and perhaps some of my other Cubase 8 instruments in Bitwig Studio. Bitwig, among other limitations does not support VST 3.0 . Are there versions that would work and if so where are they installed and how do I get them?
Not if you are on Mac. I think there is a 2.4 version of Halion for windows, which I assume comes on the same installer as the rest. They are a little inaccurate on their web: http://www.steinberg.net/en/products/vst/halion_and_halion_sonic/specs_downloads.html
Whirly’s statement is correct. HALion 5 is only available as VST 2.4 under Windows and as a plug-in.
