I updated Nuendo 14 from Nuendo 13 thinking that the update from Spectralayers 12 to Spectralayrs 11 would also be 50%.

Maybe the discount only applies if you buy a new full-version license. The message does not state that specifically, but neither does it mention something about any SpectraLayers upgrade.
I was hoping this was the case also. Will still pull the trigger on the Nuendo upgrade but having the discounted SpectraLayers upgrade would have been a blessing for us on a budget.

I have SpectraLayers 11 and itās great, good enough that my wallet will appreciate it if I hold up on upgrading unless itās with a generous discount. The Nuendo upgrade deal is too good to pass up though.
But we must admit that the announcement is not at all clear, it is confusing, and it seems that all versions of Spectralayers are affected, Go, 11 to 12, etc.

it is a voucher that UPGRADES SpectraLayers Go to SpectraLayers Pro. So, per definition it is an UPGRADE (smaller to higher product in the line-up) and not an UPDATE (same product level, new version e.g. SL Pro 11 to 12).
Well, when I made my purchase, I didnāt go on the forums. I based my decision on the email I received and the link in the email that I put in the description.
I stand by what I said at the beginning: their advertisement is not clear at all, thatās all, and itās confusing.
When you make an announcement or advertisement, things need to be clear and precise because otherwise it creates problems, as is the case here.
Anyway, itās not the end of the world, but itās a shame because it wastes our time and energy. Otherwise, I think Steinberg products are very good quality, but sometimes they could make a little effort to compensate their loyal users, especially in my case, as I was expecting a 50% discount from Spectralayer 11 to 12. Anyway, it doesnāt stop us from making music. (like children)
As so often the existing customers are not so important as the new ones - I also find the announcement misleading, should have been clearly announced on the website or (even better) a offer for all loyal customers to update for a price reduction. But perhaps there is another saleā¦ and they announce it clear next time, without making it necessary to research for a clarification in the forumā¦

@Romantique_Tp can Steinberg make an exception and āmake this rightā by letting us apply it to work for Upgrades too? Feels like the current communication was really sneaky.
Regardless of how you interpreted the promotion wording , the current various sl upgrade discounts (which expire tomorrow) ā¦and ā¦the completely separate discount involving 50% (which also expires tomorrow)ā¦.this is a user forumā¦.not Steinberg sales/support.

I hear you. Itās not uncommon to pass along feedback via official forum to a mod/admin. Thought @Romantique_Tp might be official Steinberg mod/employee, sorry if thatās not the case. Either way, I went ahead and emailed Steinberg/Yamaha about this.
