Don't know how to access Steinberg/Yamaha Basic FX Suite

Hi -

How do I access Basic FX Suite 3.0 in Cubase 14.0.20 Pro please?

I’ve got V3.0.0 showing as installed in the W10 “Add/Remove Programs” dialog.

Also, when I download from Steinberg’s page, UR28M Updates and Downloads | Steinberg and run the .exe file, it says it’s already installed.

But I don’t know how to access it! I came across one Steinberg page that says it should show up as an insert (page 3 of Basic FX Suite 2.0 Operation Manual • Viewer • Steinberg ), but they are not listed there (checking in the Reverb , Dynamics, and Distortion subheadings of the Steinberg plugins).

Go to the MixConsole, open the hardware tab, click on the “e” in the box below the HPF/Phase reverse box.

To choose whether you want a reverb, Morphing comp, or guitar amp, click on the word below the “e” described above.

That’s it!

Just to add to this thread: I could not see the “hardware” slot in the main Mixer window, which shows the DSP FX controls. I’m using Cubase 13 and a UR44 Steinberg interface. I was pulling my hair out until I realised an input bus needs to be added in “Audio Connections”!!!
