First of all, be aware, Cubase 6.5 is not supported with Cubase mac OS 10.12. The last supported Mac OS version was Mac OS X 10.8.

I would say, this is an Workspaces issue. The Project window is hidden somewhere. Try to call any workspace, if there is any… In current Cubase versions, there are Factory workspaces, you can use, but I’m not sure, if this was a case of Cubase 6.5 already.
