Hi - I am entering music in normal edit mode using quarter notes. When playing back, I only get the down beats played. I exported this into music xml and played it in numerous other notation & daw programs (noton, sibelius, cubase, dp) in all of those cases all my notes are played back correctly.
What am i missing ?

The only possibility I can think of (and it seems unlikely) is that you have got your playback options set up so that downbeats are very heavily emphasised and others are very soft or silent. (Have a look in Playback Options in Play mode.)
But if you attach a copy of your project here, others who are smarter than me might be able to diagnose the problem.
