Dorico 4 fresh install will not start - Error - DXGI.dll and/or d3d11.dll issues?

“The procedure entry point CreateDXGIFactory2 could not be located in the dynamic link library C: WINDOWS SYSTEM32 d3d11.dll.”
This is all I’ve been able to get.
Win10/64 fresh upgrade (from Win7); DirectX 12 and drivers all good, MVIDIA GE710 (driver only, no extras).
Did the same thing under Win 7, thought it was due to DX11, so I cleaned up, backed up and took the W10 plunge.
Apparently to no avail.
This has cost me a great deal of time; please shed some light, Steinberg’s support is a bit too lean, imo

I had this very same issue when I upgraded from 7 to 10. After wasting 3 days trying every conceivable solution I ended up reinstalling 10 from scratch. Sorry!

However, not all hope is lost. This is mainly an upgrade issue and if you type your headline into Google you will get many possible solutions to try, though it might take you days… Sigh!

That’s about where I’m at.
thanks for the push… Here we go again

Welcome to the forum @Tinker.
What exact version of Windows 10 do you have installed?
Dorico 4 requires Windows 10 21H2 or later.
