I have been struggling through the astonishingly convoluted process to upgrade my copy of Dorico 4 to Dorico 5 and having finally got to the point of payment I find every payment method is not accepted even though funds are readily available. The only notification I get is to the effect “your payment is not accepted please contact us” or that old chestnut “an unexpected error occurred” - but there are no details provided of who or where to contact someone. How do you guys ever sell any software? How complicated can you make the purchase/upgrade process? Why do I need to download 3 pieces of software just to get to the upgrade process? Sorry, but I’ve never encountered such an unintuitive and unhelpful purchase process. So who do I need to contact?

This is a User forum, so there is no real help here.
However, the online shop is maintained by a company named Fastspring and you need to get in touch with the Online Shop Support. You can find the Details here
There is just one piece that might need a download, the Download Assistant. But even that should not be needed, because you already have Dorico 4 and therefore the SDA is already on your machine.
All other utilities are automatically downloaded by the SDA, whenever it detects a new version, and nothing needs to be done manually.
