Iam using Dorico on Windows 11 (Ryzen CPU, 64 GB RAM, SSD) an on my MacBook PRO M2 – 64 GB RAM. Dorico is very slow. Verry often i can see color wheel or watches. My projects are not so big - pop songs 3 brass, 3 vocals and rhytmics section.
In this time after restart Dorico on my M2 is not able to start. I tried to reinstall it but no change. Please any ideas? Thanks Jiri
The diagnostics appear to be from your Mac, Jiri, and it looks to me as if Dorico is able to start up without problems on Mac. There are a number of hang logs included in the diagnostics, which don’t show anything obvious going on inside Dorico itself: it looks like it might be that Dorico is waiting for the audio engine, perhaps during an auto-save or save operation.
Perhaps the issue with restarting Dorico is that if the audio engine has hung or frozen, Dorico cannot reconnect to it. However, it should detect that condition and offer to terminate the audio engine, which should allow you to restart Dorico successfully.
I wonder whether @Ulf has any further thoughts as to what might be going on here.
The problem seemed to be solved by moving the files out of the OneDrive folder. Unfortunately (unfortunately), after some pause and reinstalling Dorico, I got a lot of work done without much trouble. Thus, OneDrive probably won’t be the problem.
