Dorico 5.1 can’t recognise Halion Sonic player

Hi there,
I have just installed Dorico Element 5.1, together with Noteperformer. For some reason, Dorico doesn’t seem to pick up Halion Sonic in its vst scanning. Hence, all playback templates that uses Halion Sonic is not working. I have tried reinstalling Dorico and Halion Sonic but still not showing it in its vst list.
For information, Halion Sonic is displayed as installed in Steinberg download Assistant. Also, Cubase and Studio One are picking up correctly. Other vsts (eg Kontakt, Sine Player etc) are showing up correctly in Dorico. Any help is appreciated. Many thanks.

Please do from Dorico’s menu Help > Create Diagnostics Report and post the corresponding zip file here. Thanks

Thanks for the data. Actually HALion Sonic (plus quite a few more plug-ins) got blacklisted on your machine, for reasons I don’t know, yet.

Please run the vstscanner like described in this thread and let me know the output of that command.

Hi Ulf,
Good news, I’ve found the problem - I still have the Dorico Element Trial license on my Steinberg Activation Manager activated - i think Dorico got confused with the 2 licenses - I deactivated the trial license and Halion Sonic is running smoothly now.
