• What is the cost to upgrade from Pro 4.3.20 to Pro 5?
• Do I need to install 4.3.30 first, or can I go straight to 5 (from 4.3.20)?

PS I’ve only had Dorico a few months, if that matters.

If you purchased version 4 after April 1, you can upgrade to version 5 for free. There’s no need to update from 4.2 to 4.3 first.

1-I bought Dorico 4.3.20 on April 4, 2023. I do not see an upgrade voucher in my profile.
2-I want to upgrade, whether it is free or not, but I am not sure what to do.
3-When I opened Steinberg Download Assistant, it just churned and I had to go to Task Manager to shut it down. I think it was waiting on a code from me.
4-When I opened Steinberg Library Manager, I saw HALion and other virtual instruments, but no option to upgrade Dorico.

Guidance would be appreciated. (I do remember that the initial installation was confusing and I had to get Sweetwater to talk me through it.)

I’ve moved your new post to this existing thread, since there’s no need to open a new thread for the same topic, and we already have more than enough new threads right now!

You are eligible for the Dorico 5 update, and I’ve redeemed your voucher for you, so if you run Steinberg Activation Manager on your computer and click the refresh button in the top right-hand corner, you should see a license for Dorico Pro 5 appear.

Now all you need to do is get Dorico Pro 5 itself installed. Run Steinberg Download Assistant, and expand the “My Product Downloads” category on the left-hand side. You should see “Dorico Pro 5” listed there: select it. You will now see a list of download choices on the right-hand side.

Click the Install buttons for only the following choices:

  • Dorico 5.0 Application Installer
  • Groove Agent SE 5 - 5.1.20 - Instrument (recommended)
  • Groove Agent SE 5 - Content (recommended)

Wait for the progress bars to turn green. Now run Dorico 5.
