Hi all,
Is there anyway to use midi for note input that uses BOTH clefs. Dorico just seems to use one Clef, then add multiple ledger lines. Doesn’t make for a score that’s easy on the eyes.
Am I missing something.
Thanks,

Hi @wmike1503
For midi recording on grand staff don’t activate the caret before recording. Click escape to go outside the caret, then just click a rest in the upper staff and press recording, so Dorico will distribute the notes between the 2 staves intelligently.
Look at the Note in this Manual site:
Inputting notes using MIDI recording
for midi input using the Caret (step input), you have to extend the caret to both staves, using shift+ arrow keys., so Dorico distributes the input between the 2 staves
Inputting notes and notations onto multiple staves
Many thanks Christian. The bottom suggestion worked. (Not getting any younger)
