Dorico 6 Cycle Issues

I’m having two problems with the new cycle feature, “Set Cycle Locators From Selection”.

First, it did work on some passages but got it completely wrong in another.
In the attached, you can see I selected a group of notes in the 1st measure, but when I used the “Set Cycle Locators From Selection”, it selected the entire page and a half until the end of the sixteenth notes.

Second, after manually adjusting the locators, cycling did work, but the screen kept jumping around. I figured that because the left selector was at the beginning of a page, that it jumped back to the end of the previous page each time it repeated.

In that screenshot it looks like you’ve got some sort of drag handle at the start and end of the selection. Is there some hidden object there, maybe a Numbered Bar Region or something like that? If so it could be that causes the cycle position to be where it is.

Ah! Although the drag handle is the left cycle locator, that thought reminded me that I had a hidden pedal line for that entire section. I removed it and tried again. This time it worked.
Next, I made the pedal line visible and selected the notes I wanted. I saw the entire pedal line was automatically selected too, so I deselected it and cycling worked.
However I’m not sure when you select a range of notes that elements that extend beyond that range should be selected too, or in the case of cycling only select the portion that is within the selection.
