Dorico 6 for Windows on Arm

Will there be a Dorico 6 version for Windows on Arm? The x64 version of Dorico 6 seems to work, but there is no way to install the x64 version of the required instruments, so there’s no audio.

See here:

Hi @ThomasE , you can download just the HALion Sonic installer (for both x86_64 and WoA) from this page.

Hi @Ulf, that’s what I tried. But the WoA version of HALion Sonic is not discovered by the x64 version of Dorico and the x64 version cannot be installed because it complains about the wrong CPU architecture.

I run Cubase 14 on WoA and performance and stability is great. So, I was curious, whether WoA support will also be available for Dorico 6.

Ah, I see, thanks for explaining. I don’t have a WoA machine, so no experience with it so far.

Hello, I am chiming in here to say that I don’t think this is a trivial issue (and hope that it is not being treated as such). Dorico 6 DOES launch on Windows Arm, but it cannot play any sound due to Halion Sonic and Groove Agent 5 SE not being recognized by Dorico. The ARM versions of these instruments are indeed installed (via Cubase 14), so at the very least something should be done to bridge the gap between Dorico and these instruments (dependencies) on this platform, as the application DOES NOT function without these dependencies.

I refer you to my earlier reply, linked in this thread:
