The v6 Lyrics PopOver now looks like this:
Where can I find its description in the help file?
In particular, what does the up/down arrow do on the right?
The v6 Lyrics PopOver now looks like this:
I think it’s whether the lyrics should be written below the staff or above the staff. What you had to do pressing F before (or change a property).
Thank you for your instant reply. That’s fine. I just didn’t want to enter a whole raft of text only to discover it then behaved strangely.
Hi @aceastwood, this functionality is mentioned for example on page 47 (Note Input section starting on page 46) of the Dorico 6.0 Version History (that you can download from the Steinberg Download Assistent, or clicking on this link):
In the days and weeks following a new release, it’s best to refer first to the Dorico Version History PDF for details of all the changes. (Those popover changes were literally the last thing to be changed before we shipped Dorico 6.0, leaving poor Lillie no time to get the changes documented.)

I’m not complaining. Infact I’m blown away by all the good stuff we’ve suddenly be given!
A few seconds experimenting on a test file would clear up what the arrow does. Never discount how much one can quickly learn by small experiments.
Does the circled item in this image mean anything at the moment (or is it something for the future to reveal?)
Guess we’ll have to wait until @Lillie_Harris updates the manual to find out.
I think that just tells you that you have the lyric popover open. It does not tell you what verse you are on, that number is to the right.
Indeed, the label on the left-hand side in the popover shows you which popover you’re working with; it matches the icon used to launch the popover from the popovers toolbox on the right-hand side in Write mode.
Ah. I never use that set of palettes. I thought it might change to v2. when entering lyrics on voice 2 (of the above example).
