Dorico and screensaver/Mac going to sleep

Hi all,

I’ve had issues with my Mac sticking on screensaver intermittently, and not turning off the display as it should.

I’ve now narrowed it down…and it’s Dorico that’s causing it. Does anybody else have this issue? If I leave Dorico running, the display doesn’t switch off, and if I quit Dorico, it does. This has continued through the last three MacOS versions. I’m on Dorico 4.

Any ideas?

It’s because of the audio engine, which is similar to the one in Cubase. Both programs won’t let the computer go to sleep; although my screensaver does start up after a certain amount of time if Dorico is running.

It’s right what Stephen wrote. What you can do though is sending your computer manually to sleep. I guess you know how to do that.
