I’m having some issue with slash chords. I’m working on a transcription and sometimes the chord name of a slash chord won’t show, but other times it will. For instance part of the progression is Dm to Dm/C, the “Dm” won’t show, just the /C. Here’s a screen shot, it’s a bit annoying and wondered if there’s a work around other than manually typing in the chord name with text, which will take a while.
Thanks

This comes up all the time. Go to
Engraving Options > Chord Symbols > Altered Bass Notes
and change the 3rd option to “Show chord symbol in full”.
Thank you!!
Still having the problem here in SE5 . In the middle of a bar F/A is noted properly, at the beginning of the bar it’s shown as /A and I’ve tried all the options above and they don’t work. Is this a bug in SE5? Thanks[quote=“jamie_humphries, post:1, topic:897961, full:true”]

As @Mark_Johnson explained…
I’m not sure the option shown by @Derrek is available in SE.
Likely not. But there is a discounted upgrade path at the moment.
Indeed, you can upgrade from Dorico SE to Dorico Elements, which includes these options in Library > Chord Symbols, at a discount of 40% if you do so before February 5. Normally this would cost $75 US (or local equivalent), so it costs only $45 (or equivalent) in this promotional period.
Thank you for your fast answer guys. I inserted another bar between properly shown and incorrect and that seems to have solved it. I could also use text but my font shows Bb as BB! Considering purchase. Cheers.
