Dorico at the Juno awards again! Karina Gauvin's "Marie Hubert" CD receives 2025 nomination

A project entirely made with Dorico, about which I have already posted, has been nominated for the 2025 Juno awards in the category of Best Classical Album - Small Ensemble. I am the arranger and the conductor. Very humbling to see our project included. Large ensembles and solo albums categories include luminaries such as Barbara Hannigan, Yannick Nézet-Séguin and James Ehnes. It’s a big year! Here’s a pic to confirm and a repost of the video that was made on one of the songs. The album uses Quebec, French and Acadian folk songs to retrace the story of one of the Fille du Roy from which Karina is descended. Search “Filles du Roy” in this forum to get more info. Cheers to all!

Congratulations, Claude! Like Karina, my wife descends from a Fille du Roy which adds to the personal interest of the project and song.

I also left a couple of pages of the score in the previous post to give an idea of what the score looks like, for anyone who’s interested
