Dorico + audio + Zoom?

I’m trying to set up a meeting with someone (not for today).

Testing it out with my sister (she’s my guinea pig for this type of thing.)

So Zoom is really nice because it lets me easily share my Dorico window with the other person…
However, I can’t seem to get any of my audio to go through to the other person.

I have no speakers for my computer. I only use a USB headset, whether it’s for talking to people (via various apps) or for listening to music/videos.

So my audio is set to USB out.

Does anyone have any experience with using Zoom in this way? How would I go about also sharing the audio?

Hi @Michel_Edward, when I used Zoom during Corona for lessons, I routed Dorico and Microphone into a new virtual device using the fantastic app Loopback by Rogue Amoeba (on MacOS). And I choose then this virtual device as input for Zoom.

ah.
unfortunately, it would have to work in Windows.

Try Voicemeeter (spelling is correct). It is a virtual audio device that will do what you need to do.

If you switch to the Steinberg built in ASIO driver, Zoom will simply capture sound with no issues if you have share computer sound checked when you start sharing the screen. This won’t give as good performance as your audio interface’s main ASIO driver so you’ll want to switch back when not using Zoom.

This is what I do when I need to share audio via Zoom and I find it much simpler than using loopback solutions.

Suggest you use Loopback from Rogueamoeba Rogue Amoeba | Loopback: Cable-Free Audio Routing

you must have missed the part where I mention it must be for Windows

unfortunately.

but thanks anyway.

I KNEW that I had shared my screen with someone and the audio worked at that time.

I had since changed to a different ASIO driver.
