I am new to Dorico Pro and am wondering if everything was installed initially. In watching the tutorials, I noticed Dorico is not loading instruments automatically when I choose players and ensembles for a new project. When I look my default playback template, I don’t find the drop down menu I saw in the tutorial on out of the box templates. Attached are screenshots of my default and the ones shown in the tutorial. Do I need to do a reinstall?

Try opening the Steinberg Download Assistant and see if there are things you missed or perhaps even failed during installation.

Thanks for your reply. Sadly, the problem still persists. I have deleted and reinstalled the Dorico application and re-downloaded the instrument libraries, but I still only have two choices in the default playback template. Do you have any further ideas to fix this?

Sorry, I missed your reply. I don’t have really anything further. You should run Help → Create Diagnostics and maybe someone from the Dorico team can take a look.
it’s exactly the same for me.
You need to supply as much information as possible. Does the Download Assistant shows those items as being installed? Is there anything in ~/Downloads/Steinberg (I’m assuming you’re on Mac).
What does the Steinberg Library Manager show for installed libraries? Under “Details”, what’s the file location?

@Evariste, you are showing only your download folder and the Steinberg Download Assistant.
What @benwiggy was also asking, is to show the Steinberg Library Manager (app) > Details. [thank you @MarcLarcher for clarifying]
And, as suggested in another post, create a Diagnostics file (from menu Help) and post it here, please.
Steinberg Library Manager is another app that manages all the Steinberg instruments. What you are being asked here is to open this app and maybe screenshot it

[Actually those names (the app’s name, even if the App is called Steinberg Library Manager, and the menu dialogue Library Manager…) are maybe too similar… I don’t know if the Team could rename one of them to avoid confusion…]
