Dorico in Monterey hangs on 'Setting engine data dir:'

I have just updated one of my Macs to OS 12.3.1 Monterey.

I had Dorico 4 working perfectly in Big Sur.

However, now it won’t start. It gets no further than this screen: 'Setting engine date dir: “Dorico 4 AudioEngine”. I can’t find any reference to this message anywhere in Steinberg forums.

Second attempt, hangs at a different screen, this one:

Third attempt, hangs at yet another message. Something different happens every time.

It seems to have resolved itself after a restart.
