Dorico midi export key command

Hi, I don’t see a key command option for exporting midi.

That’s true; at the moment you cannot set a key command specifically for exporting MIDI files. I’ll make a note of this as something for us to look at in future.

Will this be available as a key command soon?

Otherwise, “export selection as midi” would suffice too as requested here:

I assume that what you actually want is to be able to trigger the MIDI export command and also choose whether you want to export separate flows etc.?

kind of. not so much separate flows, but a selection of notes:

Imagine all of the highlighted notes to be exported as a midi file to whatever file system location. I’ll then run a bash script (via keyboard maestro) that sends that file to the system clipboard for pasting elsewhere.

So, really, you just want the ability to copy the selection to the clipboard as MIDI.

Yes, ideally. Currently I’m doing a bunch of work arounds in Sibelius with the “export selection as score,” followed by “export instruments as midi.” But accessing the system clipboard was a limitation last I remember from the Sibelius forum.

More specifically, the ability to “copy the selection to the system clipboard as MIDI”
