Hi all,
I am having issues starting Dorico 4 - not the most tech savvy but from what I can tell there’s a small attempt at booting but the software must crash before I see the splash screen.
I’ve been at this for about 5-6 hours, tried reinstalling, uninstalling, installing to a different place… all with restarts in between. Tried shutting down and leaving the computer.
Tried this: C:\ProgramData\boost_interprocess . Delete this boost_interprocess folder, then restart your computer, and hopefully you’ll find that Dorico starts right back up again.
Along with other suggestions provided on the forums, but not making any headway and starting to feel I’m unable to solve this on my own … DoricoDiagnosticsReport.zip (790.4 KB)
Then you have come to the right place, Daniel and @Ulf do whatever they can to make sure folks can get Dorico up and running, and doubtless one of them will be along shortly to provide helpful advice.
And welcome to the forum, @JonnyH . Many of us have found it an immeasurable help using the software.
I’m not sure, but it looks as if Dorico might be having problems making temporary files.
Can you try typing Windows+R to show the “Run” window, then enter:
%TEMP%
and hit Return? This should bring you to the temporary files folder on your computer. Delete everything in there, empty the trash, then try running Dorico again.
